Jefferson Health has now announced they will be eliminating up to 600 jobs and half could be by laying off workers. The layoffs come after Jefferson Health grew into a 13 hospital system with 30,000 employees after merging with local hospitals, most recently including Kennedy Health System and Philadelphia University. Hospital officials have stated that employees of Jefferson Health and Thomas Jefferson University will begin to get layoff notices starting Wednesday and will continue through Friday. There is no specific job that is being cut, but officials say that emergency room employees including doctors and nurses will not be affected.

A South Jersey man is now in critical condition after going into cardiac arrest after he was involved in an altercation with his neighbor. Police were called out to the South Jersey home were reports of a man in cardiac arrest were called in. Upon their arrival, the officers soon found out that the man had collapsed after he was in an argument with his neighbor of a missing item from his yard sale. After a long and drawn out search for the item, the 53-year-old man got agitated and threw a punch at the neighbor but missed. He then began to punch the neighbors son. Things were able to deescalate, but once they did the man collapsed. Police are now investigating the series of events to see if any charges need to pressed.

New Jersey Police are now investigating after one person was left dead in a multi vehicle car crash at the Commodore-Barry Bridge toll plaza. The crash took place at around 5 pm Tuesday on the New Jersey side of the bridge in Logan Township. The crash reportedly involved a box truck as well as two other vehicles. Some of the lanes in the bridge had to temporarily close down due to police and emergency crews on the scene. Police are continuing their investigation as to what caused this accident.
