Philadelphia Police say that a 3-year-old boy accidentally shot his uncle in the middle of the day in Center City on Friday. It happened inside a Dodge SUV near 16th and Arch just after 11:30 a.m. The uncle was dropping off his brother, who is a Philadelphia Housing Authority Police officer, at City Hall. The officer had placed his weapon underneath his seat before leaving the vehicle. The child managed to get out of his car seat in the back and found the gun hidden under the seat. He shot his uncle once in the shoulder. The uncle was taken to Hahnemann Hospital in stable condition. The weapon was not the officer's service revolver. He is cooperating with police.

A Bucks County woman has been charged in a fatal head-on crash last month along Rt 611. 30-year-old Jaclyn Jones is charged with 3rd degree murder, homicide by vehicle while driving under the influence, aggravated assault, and related offenses. It happened around 9 p.m. on August 30th along Easton Road (611) in Bedminster near Old Easton Road. Jones was traveling northbound and swerved over the double yellow lines into southbound traffic. She struck a car driven by 21-year-old Christopher Marinelli with his girlfriend Gabrialle Otero as a passenger. Marinelli was killed and Otero was injured. Toxicology reports show that Jones was under the influence of mulitple prescription medications including Oxycodone. She does have a prescription for the medicines. This would be her third DUI. At the time of the accident, Jones was still on probation from the second DUI and her driver's license is suspended. She has an Occupational Limited License (or a bread-and-butter license) which allows her to drive to and from work, but investigators determined that she was out shopping the night of the crash. Bail is set at 10% of $1 million.

Philadelphia Police have arrested a man accused of sexually assaulting an 18-year-old special needs teen. 32-year-old Ronald Coleman of the 2400 block of Sergeant Street was arrested on Thursday. The incident happened at the Di Silvestro Playground on the 1700 block of South Broad Street. He is charged with rape, sexual assault, unlawful restraint, false imprisonment and related offenses. Coleman was a seasonal employee.
