Philadelphia Police are searching for a man wanted for robbing his former neighbors. Police say that 21-year-old Mark McLaughlin broke into a home on the 7300 block of Hill Road in Roxborough around 5:30 a.m. Wednesday morning. He then tied up a 75-year-old man and assaulted him while the man's 74-year-old sister was still asleep. McLaughlin took the keys to their vehicle and stole their car. McLaughlin's last known address is on the same block. The man was taken to Temple University Hospital and was admitted into the intensive care unit. Anyone with information about the whereabouts of McLaughlin are asked to contact police. Dial (215) 686-8477 or text a tip to or 773847.

A Saint Joseph's University student was robbed at gunpoint while on their way to the school gym on Wednesday. It happened just after 8:30 p.m. near the intersection of Cardinal and Overbrook Streets. The student was approached by three suspects. One of the suspects pointed a gun at their chest. They took the student's phone and backpack. The student then ran and the suspects also fled the area. Police were able to recover the backpack. They are currently looking for the three suspects. The student was not harmed.

Comcast Spectacor announced today that they are bringing professional indoor lacrosse back to Philadelphia. The city has been without a NLL team since the storied Philadelphia Wings left for Connecticut in 2014 and became the New England Black Wolves. That franchise was one of the original four teams starting in 1987 and played home games at the Spectrum and Wells Fargo Center. The team is holding a contest to help name the new team. You can vote online. Mayor Kenney was on hand at the press conference Thursday. He expressed his excitement. "I played as a kid, watched as a kid. I loved the Wings. That would be my vote for the team name," he said. The team will be ready for the 2018-19 National Lacrosse League season.
