Police say that they have now found the mother who reportedly left her 8-month old baby inside of a Bensalem hotel and never came back. 34-year-old Erica Avila-Lopez was found at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, where she was undergoing a medical procedure. This past Saturday afternoon, Lopez was seen on the hotel's security camera leaving the premises. The next day, cleaning crews found the baby inside of the room, and when crews searched more, they found crack, heroin and other drug paraphernalia. The baby was taken to St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne to be checked out. The baby is currently in protective custody. Lopez now faces child endangerment and drug charges.

A former teacher in Radnor Township who was charged with having sexual contact with a female student has now pleaded guilty. 28-year-old Nina Scott admitted on Monday that she had a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old student. Scott was a teacher at the Village School in Rosemont, which is a court ordered facility for children with emotional and behavioral problems. A sentencing date has not yet been set for Scott.

Conrail and Philadelphia Officials have now kick-started a project to clean up the notorious drug ridden tracks in Kensington. Officials are trying to completely restore the area; they want to bulldoze it, clean it up completely and then fence it off. The area is a known place where many drug deals happen, as well as many heroin users shoot up. The area has also been covered in thousands of used needles. The process of renovating began on Monday, and is expected to be finished in a month.
