SEPTA officials are reminding passengers that the fare increase will go into effect over this upcoming weekend. The fare increase was approved by the board back in May and will effect all means of transportation. The electronic card and token single fares will increase from $1.80 to $2, cash fares will increase from $2.25 to $2.50 and weekly TransPass fares will increase from $24 to $25.50. Officials have stated that the fare increase will help fund everyday expenses including labor, fuel and power.

Philadelphia Police have now joined forces with Delaware County officials in their search for two women suspects and one male suspect who are wanted in a string of violent robberies. Police have stated that three of the robberies took place in Upper Darby and two took place in Philadelphia. The three suspects held up multiple victims throughout the area. In one of the robberies they used a stolen Hyundai as a getaway car. It was later found crashed and abandoned on North 24th Street. Police have released a video of one of the robberies and are hoping that the public can help identify any of the suspects in the video.

Police are now investigating after an 18-year-old woman was killed in a road rage accident in Chester County on Thursday. The incident took place in the southbound lanes of Route 100 in West Goshen Township at around 5:30 pm. 18-year-old Bianca Nikol Roberson's car swerved off the road and slammed into a tree. Upon further investigation by response crews, it appears Roberson was shot in the head before her car crashed. Police believe that she was in a road rage incident with a red pickup truck. Police are now searching for the driver of that truck and are asking anyone who witnessed the incident to contact the West Goshen Police Department Traffic Safety Division (610-696-7400).

UPDATE: $5,000 reward now being offered, and suspect sketch
