A former Bucks County football coach has been arrested for sexually assaulting three juveniles. 47-year-old Shannon "Shawn" Westmoreland has been charged with Rape, Rape of a Child under Age of 13, Rape of a Child, Statutory Sexual Assault, Indecent Assault of a Child and other related offenses. Bensalem police say that he assaulted a 15-year-old in 2005 while he was a coach with the Bensalem Ramblers Athletic Association. He is also charged with assaulting a child from the age of 4 until she was 9-10 years old. The third assault happened on a 6-year-old in 1999. Police say he sexually assaulted her again in 2011 when she was 18. If you have any information or know of any other victims, contact Bensalem police at (215) 633-3719.

A U-haul truck crashed into a restaurant in Northern Liberties on Wednesday afternoon. It happened at the Urban Village Brewery at 1001 N. 2nd Street before 1 p.m. The 41-year-old driver was headed the wrong way down 2nd street before he veered into the entrance of the restaurant. He was taken to the hospital in stable condition for leg pain. He is being held on suspicion of DUI.

Residents in one South Philadelphia neighborhood discovered crude and offensive graffiti sprayed on sidewalks and homes early this morning. It was first noticed starting around 5:30 a.m. in the area of 21st and Bouvier Street. Crews quickly began to power wash and paint over the messages in the normally quiet neighborhood. Some messages included the Soviet hammer and sickle and promoted violence against police like, “Kill a Cop, Save a Life.” Another said, “Is is right to rebel,” with an image of a Molotov cocktail. Investigators are looking into surveillance video from the neighborhood to hopefully find the vandals.

Weather
This afternoon, partly cloudy, temperatures around 80 in Center City
