A Bucks County man accused of sexually assaulting six young Amish sisters has been found guilty on all charges against him. The jury convicted 52-year-old Lee Kaplan of all 17 counts including rape of a child, statutory sexual assault and other offenses. Over the years, Daniel and Savilla Stoltzfus turned to Kaplan for financial and spiritual assistance. In return, they 'gifted' their daughters to him. Last year when police arrived at his Feasterville home, Savilla, her 9 daughters, and 2 granddaughters that Kaplan had fathered with the oldest, all lived under the same roof. They did as he pleased, including allowing their sexual abuse that started when each girl was 7-11 years old. Several of them testified that they believe they were his wife. The girls are ages 9-19. At the moment they are in foster care. Their parents await sentencing on child endangerment.

The Bucks County prisoner who escaped county sheriffs during transport on Sunday night has been captured after a two and a half day hunt. 25-year-old Daniel Selby Jr. of Doylestown Township was taken into custody this afternoon at Keith Valley/Kansas and County Line Roads near Graeme Park in Warrington. A tipster called 911 after spotting him on the 2500 block of County Line Road in Warrington this morning. Police responded to the area of John Paul Park at Lower Nike. Central Bucks School District placed seven schools on lockdown while authorities searched which has since been lifted.

The black bear that has been on the loose in Bucks County the past week was captured Monday night in Feasterville. The Pennsylvania Game Commission safely caught the bear near the Somerton Springs Swim Club along Bustleton Pike. The animal had been sleeping up in a tree for most of the day and officers waited for it to come down to tranquilize it. They had tried to dart it on Sunday night but it climbed up a tree near Street Road and Bustleton. Last week, the same bear was spotted roaming around the Doylestown area. Officials believe it is a 1 ½ – 2 year old male and weighs about 100-150 lbs. They'll relocate the bear to another part of the state.
