Philadelphia Firefighters spent most of Sunday afternoon battling a house fire in South Philadelphia. The incident took place at around 3:45 pm on the 2600 block of Sherdian Street. Officials arrived on the scene to find to heavy smoke coming out of the house from the fire. Luckily the fire was able to be put out and there was no report of any injuries sustained.

Philadelphia Police are investigating, after a young a man and woman were found dead in a car in the East Mount Airy Section of Philadelphia. The bodies were found along the 1000 block of Sydney Street at around 5 pm on Sunday. Police say that they discovered the man and woman in the car with gunshot wounds to the head. Medics then arrived on the scene and identified them as a 23-year-old male and a 21-year-old female. Police are now continuing an investigation to find out who is responsible for shooting the couple in their car.

Today begins the sexual assault trial involving Philadelphia born comedian Bill Cosby. The jury consisting of seven men and five women were chosen from the Allegheny County area and will be bused into Montgomery County for the trial. Court officials stated that the jury is not expected to hear from Cosby himself, but will hear the testimony of Andrea Constand. Constand is a former Temple employee who is accusing Cosby of drugging and sexually assaulting her in his suburban Philadelphia home in 2004. Officials also stated that the jury will hear from another victim who is remaining unidentified. Officials say that the trial is expected to last two weeks.
