The Philadelphia Parks and Recreation Department announced today that the Rocky statue located out front of the Art Museum will be inaccessible for two weeks. In a tweet, they said that beginning May 30th the area surrounding the statue will be undergoing site improvements and will be off limits to the public. If you are in town for Memorial Day weekend, don't worry, you'll still be able to get a selfie or pose for a photo with the statue. The area, which is located to the right of the front of the museum stairs, isn't going to close until Tuesday.

Two Philadelphia Police officers were injured in an accident involving their cruiser this afternoon. It happened around 4:50 p.m. on the 6200 block of Torresdale Ave near Robbins. They were responding to a call when their vehicle was struck by a Toyota Corolla. The injuries are non life-threatening. Both officers are expected to be ok.

Philadelphia Police are investigating the suspicious death of an infant in Southwest Philadelphia today. Authorities were called to a home on the 5800 block of Willows Avenue around 12:30 p.m. to the report on an unresponsive child. The 6-week-old baby boy was rushed to Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital in Darby and then airlifted to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. The child was pronounced dead at the hospital. Philadelphia Police Special Victims Unit is investigating.
