Teen Stabbed In Logan; DA Williams Attorneys File Motion; SEPTA Key Cards Taking Over Paper Passes

Philadelphia Police have now arrested two men after a 13-year-old girl was stabbed three times in the Logan section of Philadelphia. The stabbing took place on North Broad Street near Wyoming Avenue at around 4:30 pm on Monday. Police arrived on the scene and quickly rushed the girl to Einstein Medical Center where she is currently in stable condition. Police have made two arrests in the case, but have still not found the weapon as of yet.

Embattled District Attorney Seth William's defense team has now filed a motion to get 22 out of the 29 charges dismissed for the trial. Williams was indicted with corruption and bribery charges back in March. Williams' defense team says that the 22 of 29 charges lack evidence in the case because he did not commit the crimes while acting in an official capacity. The trial is set to begin on June 19th.

SEPTA has announced that starting on June 1st, they will stop selling the paper-magnetic weekly/monthly TransPasses at it's transit sales offices and at the cashiers booths. SEPTA officials are trying to get commuters to purchase its new SEPTA Key reloadable transit card. SEPTA officials say that as of now only 15% of commuters use the new SEPTA Key, majority of commuters use the old school paper- magnetic strip. SEPTA stated that travelers who would like to continue using the old key cards, can purchase them after next Thursday at any suburban Regional Rail line sales locations, or at any other authorized retailer.
