Berks County Police have now placed a 19-year-old suspect in custody after he assaulted a teenager in a book store bathroom. The incident took place at the Barnes & Noble store in Broadcasting Square in Spring Township on Tuesday night. Police say that 19-year-old Dustin Cornelius was trying to take pictures of a 14-year-old girl who was in a stall in the women's bathroom. Police say when the girl noticed the camera, she tried to leave but was forced into another stall by Cornelius. He then threatened her with a knife and bound her with zip-ties. During the struggle Cornelius cut himself with his own knife. The girl's boyfriend's mother then entered the bathroom to check on her and found her trapped by Cornelius. He faces charges of unlawful restraint, false imprisonment and harassment. He is now behind bars, being held on $25,000 bail.

Officials in Delaware and Lehigh Valley are now warning residents that the prime tick season is now among them. The CDC released a report recently that stated that nearly 30,000 cases of Lyme disease were found across the country, 95% coming from a specific 14 states. One third of the percent of Lyme disease comes from the Delaware and Lehigh Valley area. Contrary to popular belief deer and the weather are not a big role player in the ticks populating, it actually is mainly to do with a thriving mouse population. Officials say that the ticks leave their larvae in the mice who then spread it to us. Experts stated to keep a watchful eye out for mice in your home and do your best to prevent them. Officials say that the best way to remove a tick before it can spread any illness is to grab it by it's hind legs and pull it off with a pair of tweezers.

Philadelphia Police have now identified the teen who was involved in a deadly dirt bike crash that happened in the Lawncrest section of Philadelphia. 16-year-old Carmelo Mangual was riding his dirt bike on Tuesday night at Devereaux Street and Tabor Avenue when he crashed head on with an oncoming SUV. Police say that Mangual was speeding eastbound on Devereaux Street and ran a red light, where he then crashed. Mangual was then taken to Einstein Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead. Police say that Mangual was not wearing a helmet and did not have street legal registration to be riding the dirt bike in the streets. Police are still continuing an investigation.
