Woman Shot And Killed In Kensington; Fire Destroys Four Homes; Suspect Caught In SEPTA Car Vandalism

Philadelphia Police are now investigating after a woman was shot and killed in the Kensington section of Philadelphia. The incident took place on the 700 block of East Hilton Street at around 1 am on Sunday. Police officers arrived on the scene to find a 24-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to the chest She was rushed to Temple University Hospital where she was later pronounced dead. Police were able to recover the murder weapon on the scene, but are still searching for the suspect.

Firefighters are now investigating after a two-alarm fire destroyed four homes on Sunday afternoon in Morrisville, Bucks County. Firefighters were called to the scene of the fire on the 100 block of Park Avenue at around 3:30 pm. The fire began in a home on the block and later spread to four other homes. It took around 10 fire companies, 20 apparatuses and 80 firefighters to put of the fire. They were able to get it under control in an hour and a half. Luckily no one was injured in the fires, two of the homes were vacant and for sale and two of them the families were not at home. The fire marshal is now investigating to see what caused the blaze.

Philadelphia Police have now arrested a suspect after two SEPTA police vehicles were vandalized in North Philadelphia. 20-year-old Dorian Murray was placed into police custody for the vandalism. The incident took place near the intersection of Broad and Glenwood Streets on Saturday morning. Tthe suspect spray painted both cars with blue spray paint. Murray has now been charged with criminal mischief and institutional vandalism.
