Deadly Shooting In Logan; Philly Cinco de Mayo Celebration Canceled; Fight In SEPTA Subway Station

Philadelphia Police are now investigating a deadly shooting that took place in the Logan section of Philadelphia. The shooting took place on the 1900 block of Roberts Avenue at around 7:30 pm on Sunday. Officers arrived on the scene to find the victim with gunshot wounds to the chest and stomach. The man was rushed to Temple University Hospital where he later died. Police are still searching for a suspect.

Philadelphia's largest Cinco de Mayo celebration has now been canceled this year. This year would have been the 10th year of the celebration. Thousands of people celebrate on Washington Avenue in South Philadelphia, where they get dressed in colorful costumes and masks. Officials say they have canceled the celebration this year because there have been threats that federal agents that could be targeting the event. The past 2010 census showed that nearly 13 percent of Philadelphia's population is Hispanic. Officials hope the celebration can be put on next year.

SEPTA Officials are now searching for several teens after a massive fight broke out at a Subway Station in Center City. The fight took place this past Thursday at the Race-Vine Street Station. SEPTA has now released a video of the fight which shows a juvenile punching another teens head, as well as three teens punching and kicking another teen who was lying on the ground for cover. Two victims were hospitalized with minor injuries and were questioned by police. It is still not clear what started the fight, SEPTA officials are still searching for the teens involved.
