The Philadelphia Flower show wraps up this weekend at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. The theme of this year's show, put on annually by the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, is "Holland." Of course that means lots of tulips, but there is plenty more to see. Usually the cold, late winter weather drives the crowds into the Convention Center to get an early taste of spring and ideas for their own gardens in a few weeks, but the snow storm this past Tuesday/Wednesday kept the public home and away from the show for a few days. Vendors are counting on everyone to come out for the last days to make up for lost time. More information is at http://theflowershow.com.

Philadelphia Police are investigating after a man was stabbed to death in Kensington early Saturday evening. It happened around 6:45 p.m. in the 3200 block of G Street near Hilton Street. The man was taken to Temple University Hospital and pronounced dead at 7:05 p.m. No weapon has been recovered and police have not made any arrests. The investigation is ongoing.

Two people are in critical condition after their pickup truck crashed into a utility pole early Saturday morning. It happened around 1:30 a.m. on the 8200 block of Frankford Avenue in Philadelphia's Holmesburg section. The 2005 black Chevy Silverado was speeding northbound when it crashed head-on with a PECO utility pole. Officers pulled the 21-year-old male driver from the vehicle. Firefighters extricated the female passenger from the truck. The driver was taken to Aria-Torresdale Hospital with head trauma. He is in critical condition. The passenger was also taken to Aria-Torresdale with severe leg injuries. She is also in critical condition. No charges have been filed at this time. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
