Fire Officials are now investigating after a fire in South Philadelphia led to a partial roof collapse at a restaurant. The fire broke out at Coco's Chicken and Waffles on the 1400 block of South Street at around 6 am. The building also houses apartments above the restaurant. The fire started in a vent near the roof of the building, which then spread to the whole building. Firefighters arrived at the scene, but were unable to put the fire out before the roof collapsed. Fire crews were able to put the fire out later on, and there has been no injuries reported. Fire crews are now investigating on what started the fire.

Police in Bucks County have now arrested 11 people all in connection with a major heroin drug ring. Among the 11 arrested were brothers 27-year-old Sheamus McCarthy and 22-year-old Casey McCarthy who allegedly led the drug ring and had been distributing large amounts of heroin in Quakertown. The two brothers ran their drug ring from 2013-2016 out of their remote home in the woods in Richland Township where they made around $1 million annually. The drug ring sold around 200 to 400 bundles of heroin each week, which was supplied by Antoine Harris of West Philadelphia. Police are still searching for Harris as well as another member of the ring, Ryan Morkynchuck.

Donald Trump announcement of hiring freeze on federal civilian employees has led to several closures of notable historic sites in Old City. Seven tourist attractions have closed because of the job freeze, among those already closed are Thomas Jefferson's Declaration House, Ben Franklin's Home and Print Shop and Dolly Madison's Home. Many public restrooms near the tourist attractions have also closed as well due to the job freeze. Trump's first budget proposal is expected to be released on Thursday.
