The Sixers General Manager Bryan Colangelo has updated Joel Embiid's injury report and says that Embiid has a "very minor meniscal injury" in his left knee. Colangelo also stated that his knee injury is not the source of the pain that has kept Embiid out for nine straight games. Colangelo also talked to reporters after the Sixers beat the Heat on Saturday 117-109 stated that the MRI taken of Emiid's knee showed a small tear and bruise. Embiid is unlikely to play in the rising stars game during the All-Star Weekend next week in New Orleans.

The Phillies Spring Training is set to begin Tuesday at Spectrum Field in Clearwater Florida, with the Phillies first official practice of the season. The unofficial workout for the season was held Monday for pitchers and catchers. The first full team workout will be held this Friday February 17th, and then the first game of the Spring Training schedule will take place on Thursday February 23rd against the University of Tampa.

Villanova was able to seal a 73-57 victory against No. 24 Xavier this past Saturday, bringing Villanova head coach Jay Wright his 500th win with the Wildcats. Villanova was able to keep a solid lead most of the game, with Villanova's Jalen Brunson and Donte DiVincenzo scoring 17 points each to help seal the win. Xavier's leading scorer, and the second leading scorer in the Big East behind Villanova's Josh Hart, Trevon Bluiett was taken out of the game after he injured his already sprained right ankle. Next up Villanova takes on DePaul Monday at 9.
