Trump Taj Mahal To Be Sold; Continued Delays For Market-Frankford; 78 ISIS Attacks List Released

Billionaire Investor Carl Icahn has stated that he is now planning to sell the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City. The casino closed it's doors back in October of 2016. During the time before the closure many of the main union workers at the casino were on strike. Icahn has stated that he decided to put the casino up for sale after a bill was passed that would strip him of his casino license for 5 years. New Jersey Governor Chris Christie vetoed the bill on Monday saying that it only backed one side of the labor dispute.

SEPTA stated that the Market-Frankford line will continue their temporary ban of rail cars on the line, after officials found cracks in the support beams of two rail cars. During peak hours there are usually 24 rail cars in service, and 16 of them were running on Monday morning, and an estimated 18 were in service on Monday evening. Officials warn commuters to give themselves more time while heading to their destination on Tuesday, as the rail cars have been crowded due to the delays.

The White House released a list of 78 attacks that they describe as "executed or inspired by ISIS," and say most of the attacks did not get substantial media coverage. Some of the attacks included the truck massacre in Nice, France that killed dozens, the Paris attacks, San Bernadino attacks, the Orlando nightclub attack, as well as smaller attacks where no one was killed. One of the attacks on the list was the ambush attack on Philadelphia Police Officer Jesse Hartnett in January of 2016. The attacker, Edward Archer, approached Hartnett while he was in his patrol car and shot him, shattering his left arm. Archer told police that he pledged his allegiance to ISIS. During a speech on Monday President Trump stated that the media was deliberately ignoring the attacks. The Associated Press stated that they could not verify that each of the attacks had connection to ISIS. See the full list of attacks below.

*Editor's note: Although iradiophilly mainly focuses on Philadelphia and the surrounding region, we have covered many of the domestic incidents on this list and some of the international ones as well. Here is a sampling of our coverage from Officer Jesse Harnett's attack last year, which is named on the list:
