Philadelphia Eagles Quarterback Carson Wentz has now hired a quarterback coach to help him with his mechanics over the offseason. Wentz has hired Adam Dedeaux from the training organization 3DQB. Dedeaux is a former USC baseball player, as well as assistant coach, and has trained quarterbacks such as Tom Brady and Drew Brees. Wentz stated he is looking to improve his footwork and fine tune his mechanics as a quarterback, and hopes to emerge next season as one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL.

The Flyers were able to seal a 2-0 victory Wednesday night over the New York Rangers. Flyers goalie Steve Mason had an amazing 34 stopped shots, making this his 31st career shutout. Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist had 24 saves in the game, but both Wayne Simmonds and Jakub Voracek scored in the third period to beat the Rangers. Steve Mason stated "It's definitely something to build off of for everybody, it's been a tough stretch the last month or so mentally I think for everybody. We've had two games recently over here on the road against two quality hockey clubs and to be able to come away with four points is definitely something to build off." Next up the Flyers take on the Maple Leafs Thursday at 7.

The Phillies have now agreed to a minor league contract with catcher Ryan Hanigan. The contract states Hanigan would receive $1.25 million for a one-year-contract if placed on the Phillies 40-man roster. Hanigan would also have the chance to earn $375,000 in performance bonuses based on his performance as a starting catcher. Hanigan has spent the past two seasons with the Boston Red Sox, and seven years before that on the Cincinnati Reds, as well as a year on the Tampa Bay Rays. He has a .250 career average, as well as 28 home-runs and 202 RBI's in 647 games. Hanigan has started in 541 games behind the plate, and has been able to throw out 37 percent of attempted stolen bases. The Phillies have also invited Hanigan to join them in the major league spring training in Clearwater.
