A recent Bloomberg analysis has now discovered that the Philadelphia region is the worst in the country for rodent infestation. The survey was conducted by the American Housing Survey and shows that 18 percent of homes in Philadelphia, Camden, and Wilmington metro area reported seeing mice and rats in their buildings. Philly was followed by Boston, New York and DC in the list. Pest control experts say that sealing up cracks in your home or building can prevent any rodents from entering the area. If you have a rodent complaint you can contact the Philadelphia Department of Public Health at 215-685-9000. SEE: The Most Vermin-Infested American Cities

One courtroom in Philadelphia will now be allowing video recording to take place during certain court cases. The U.S. Third Circuit Court of Appeals announced that it will take the recordings and post them online for the public to watch. Many specifications are being worked out, but officials say that certain arguments in the court cases will be posted online for the public to view, listen, and maybe learn more about the court system. The judges have to sign off before recording, and lawyers in the court room will be able to present an argument against the recording if they feel it is necessary. Video recordings are expected to be posted later this month.

A murder suspect from Philadelphia has now been placed in custody by US Marshals in Norfolk, Virginia, on Tuesday afternoon. 29-year-old Karl Howard was wanted in connection for a the September 4th murder of 45-year-old Maului Lewis in Kensington. U.S. Marshals in Philadelphia contacted Marshals in Virginia that Howard was hiding in the area. Norfolk Marshals went to the home Howard was hiding in on the 200 block of Maycox Street. They ordered Howard to come out, but when he wouldn't, they forced everyone out of the house. Howard was found curled up in a cubby hole above a closet in one of the bedrooms. Howard has been charged with murder and other related offenses, and is awaiting return to Philly for trial.
