Police are now investigating after two men who were impersonating Philadelphia Police officers tried to abduct a woman. The incident took place on the 13000 block of Trevose Road in the Somerton section of Philadelphia on Monday night. The woman stated that the men approached her stating they need to ask her questions but never showed a badge and did not have uniforms on. Police are still investigating into the incident.

Police are now searching for suspects that are responsible for vandalizing a building under construction for the Jewish community in Somerton. The building the suspects vandalized is known as a mikvah, which houses special pools of water that are used in Jewish purification rites. The Rabbi of the Synagogue nearby stated that the wall that was vandalized was made with special imported Jerusalem stones. Officials say that the building has been a recent spot of vandalism, saying that bb's have been fired at the building as well as a light post being pulled down. Although there is no direct threat written in the graffiti the rabbi believes that there is a message. Officials are still searching for the suspects, and say that the incident took place on Saturday night and was discovered Sunday morning.

Four local Congress members in Pennsylvania have now stated that they will not be attending President-Elect Donald Trump's inauguration this Friday. PA Congressman Bob Brady stated on Monday night that he will not be attending the inauguration to support Congressman John Lewis, who is opposed to a Trump presidency. PA Congressman Dwight Evans also stated he will not be attending, due to Trump's position on healthcare, as well as the Russian hacking controversy. PA Congressman Bob Boyle also said that he will not be attending the inauguration as he too disagrees with a Trump presidency. New Jersey Congresswoman Bonnie Watson also stated weeks ago she would not be attending. Along with these 4, nearly 40 other Democrats will not be attending the inauguration.

Sports

Villanova beat Seton Hall Monday night 76-46.

Weather

Today, Cloudy and rainy during the day with a high of 46 degrees in Center City.
