Penn State lost to USC in the Rose Bowl on Monday 49-52. USC's Matt Boermeester kicked a field goal as the time expired to seal the victory for the Trojans. USC was able to come off of a 14 point deficient in the fourth quarter. USC Freshman QB Sam Darnold threw for 453 yards and 5 touchdowns on Monday, which helped lead to the miraculous comeback and gave USC their ninth consecutive win for the season, and their first Rose Bowl win since 2009. Penn State's QB Trace McSorley passed for 254 yeards, and threw 4 touchdowns, 2 of them going to Chris Goodwin. Penn State had a stunning 3rd quarter, Saquon Barkley had an amazing 72-yard run leading to a touchdown, Chris Goodwin had an astonishing bobbled 79-yard catch that lead to a touchdown, and Trace McSorley had a 3-yard run off of an interception. The Nittany Lions did not go down yesterday without a fight, and end this season with an 11-3 record.

According to an ESPN report, the Buffalo Bills have now contacted the Eagles over their Offensive Coordinator Frank Reich about the Bills head coach position. The Bills fired former head coach Rex Ryan last week, and have been searching for a full time coach after they named Bill's offensive coordinator Anthony Lynn as the interim head coach. Reich has only been with the Eagles for one season now, and is credited with the success and development of rookie quarterback Carson Wentz. Reich had spent time as a player with the Bills from 1985-1994, and served as a backup quarterback for Hall Of Famer Jim Kelly.

Villanova's Men's Basketball remains the No. 1 NCAA college basketball team for the 5th week in a row. The Wildcats were able to remain in this No. 1 spot after defeating No. 10 Creighton over the weekend. Villanova received 59 first place votes from the panel of 65 that kept them in first. The other 6 first place votes went to Baylor who jumped up from 4th to 2nd this week. Villanova now has the longest No. 1 streak since Kentucky was No. 1 for the entire season back in 2014-2015.
