The 76ers will be taking on the Sacramento Kings Monday night, and the Kings are looking to extend their three game win streak, the longest they've had since February. Sacramento (13-17) has now played 6 straight games without starter Rudy Gay, who is out with a hip flexor injury, as well as missing reserve player Omri Casspi due to a virus. The Sixers, who have the worst record currently in the NBA (7-22), will be playing in their second of a four game Western conference series, the first being against the Suns where they lost 116-123. Head Coach Brett Brown stated that he is fully committed to playing Joel Embiid and Jahlil Okafor in Monday's game. Embiid is the leading rookie scorer in the NBA right now with 18.4 points a game. On the other hand, Okafor has dropped his scoring and rebounding averages from a 17.5 and 7.0 to an 11.5 and 5.0. Brown also is continuing to bench rookie Nerlens Noel, as he missed the beginning of the season due to a knee surgery.

Temple's Defensive Coordinator Phil Snow has now stated that he will be moving on to Baylor University with former head coach Matt Rhule. Snow stated "It's not official because I haven't signed a contract but I am going there, I will start on Jan. 2." Snow has spent the past 4 years with Rhule on the Owl's team, stated that he didn't interview for the position of head coach because he didn't feel he would have been seriously considered for the job. Players even started a social media push to get Snow to get hired for the position. Snow will now be taking his defensive coaching to the Big 12 and will be assistant coaching for his ninth college team. Snow will be present and coaching for the Owls at the Military Bowl this Tuesday in Annapolis against Wake Forest.
