Police are now searching for two men who broke into a house in Kensington and shot the woman inside. The incident happened on the 500 block of East Allegheny Avenue at around 11:30 am on Thursday. Police say that two men knocked on the door and when the woman opened, the men forced themselves in. During a struggle with the men, the woman was shot in the arm. Another woman and a child were in the house, but were not harmed. The woman was taken to the hospital and is in stable condition. Police stated that the same men knocked on the neighbor's door, but the woman slammed the door on them.

New Jersey Legislators have delayed an attempt by Christie's Administration to expand the rules in which someone can obtain a permit to legally carry a handgun within the state. Legislators passed resolutions stating that the proposed rule by Christie's administration is incompatible with the legislative intent. Members of the New Jersey Rifle and Pistol Club were not happy with the ruling, stating that the legislation is opposing something that allows people facing serious threats to protect themselves. Lawmakers stated in response that they are in support of the second amendment right, but feel this action would put too many people in danger. New Jersey is known to be one of the toughest states on gun control in the country.

Philadelphia Police are now investigating after a man was shot in the face in the Oxford Circle section of Philadelphia. Police responded to the call at around 3:30 on Friday on the 1200 block of Gilham Street. Police arrived on the scene to find a man shot in the face, he was rushed to the hospital by medics, and there is no word on his condition as of yet. Police are still searching for the suspect or suspects responsible for the shooting.
