Philadelphia Police are searching for a man and a vehicle used in a purse snatching in South Philly on Sunday afternoon. It happened at 12:30 pm on November 27th in a shopping center parking lot at 330 Oregon Ave. Police have released surveillance video of the incident. You can see the suspect waiting in his car, a late model gray Toyota Highlander SUV. He picks his target and repositions his car for the getaway. The suspect then sneaks up and grabs the victim's purse out of the front seat of her car as she is loading packages into the back. The woman gives chase and grabs ahold of the suspect's car as he pulls away. She is dragged for a few feet before letting go. The suspect is described as a black male, 5' 10" tall, wearing a black jacket, and gray pants. If you have any information call call the South Detective Division at 215-686-3013/3014.

A Philadelphia Common Pleas Court Judge has denied an appeal made by lawyers backed by the Green Party seeking a forensic audit of voting machines in Philadelphia. Judge Abbe Fletman affirmed the city commissioner's decision to reject the request made by former presidential candidate Jill Stein's lawyers who wanted a forensic examination of machines used in the city. They wanted to get into the actual machines themselves and determine if there had been any physical tampering or software hacking. That kind of evidence would enable their case for a state wide recount. Individual voters filed affidavits for recounts in 75 of 1,686 precincts, which produced no significant change in the vote. Stein's lawyers did file suit in federal court calling Pennsylvania voting a "national disgrace" and have a hearing on Friday in front of a federal judge.

A record 607 bears have been killed by hunters in New Jersey this year. The first part of the hunt lasted for 6 days in October. That was a bow and arrow and muzzle loading firearms hunt. The second part of the hunt opened on Monday. This hunt is firearms only. It is scheduled to last through Saturday but could be suspended early if the cumulative harvest rate reached 30%. Right now it is at 24% of tagged bears. Animal rights activists call the hunt 'inhumane.'
