Streets and highways of Center City Philadelphia were tied up this afternoon after a bull had gotten out and was running loose. The incident took place at around 2 p.m. when a bull escaped from a slaughterhouse on the 2100 block of North Hancock Street. The Bull got onto southbound lanes of I-95 causing traffic stoppage before he wandered onto Route 676. Authorities were able to lasso the bull off of the highway on 7th Street and corner him between Vine and Franklin Streets, where The Pennsylvania Game Commission ultimately had to euthanize the bull. Authorities say no injuries were reported in the incident.

The search continues for the driver responsible for a hit-and-run accident that took the life of 8-year-old Jayanna Powell last Friday. The incident took place on 63rd and Lansdowne Avenue in Overbrook. Many neighbors and friends of the family affected have seen a change in the community, one person stated that "People are walking their kids to and from school that have never done before." Overbrook Police have stated they are continuing to interview witnesses of the incident and ask for the suspect to come forward. Police have stated that they are increasing their patrols in the area and are searching for any surveillance video that may help identify the suspect's car.
