A woman and a young child are both in critical condition after they were involved in a stabbing in the Mantua section of Philadelphia. The incident took place on the 700 block of North Preston Street at around 7:40 pm Monday night. Police say that the woman was stabbed in the left shoulder, and the 2-year-old boy was stabbed in the head. Both were immediately rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Police have stated that an arrest has been made and a weapon was recovered at the scene. There is still no word about a motive.

Philadelphia Police have now recovered two vehicles that were used in two separate smash-and-grab robberies in October. The cars that were recovered were a silver Mercedes-Benz as well as a red Toyota SUV. Both cars were burned up after previously being set on fire. Police believe the cars were used to rob Boyd's in Center City on October 25th, as well as a robbery that took place a Macy's in Northeast Philly only two days later. Although police now have the cars, they are still searching for the suspects responsible for the robberies.
