Police are now investigating a deadly shooting that happened in the Mantua section of Philadelphia. The shooting happened at around 6:30 pm on the 3500 block of Wallace Street. Police say that someone opened fire on a teen, shooting him in the shoulder. The unidentified victim was rushed to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. So far no arrests have been made.

Police are now searching for a 17-year-old suspect from South Philadelphia who is wanted for a shooting that took place Tuesday night in Rittenhouse Square. The suspect supposedly shot the victim four to five times in the chest, shoulder, and torso after he tried to stop the teen and two others from robbing a group of people. The victim was rushed to Hahnemann University Hospital where he was placed in critical, but stable condition. Police hope the video surveillance cameras at the park will help them identify the suspects.

The Pennsylvania State Senate has now passed a bill that will let police department refuse the public's access to copies of audio and video recordings of police body cams unless it is court ordered. The bill was approved on Wednesday 45 votes yes to 5 votes no. The bill is supported by law enforcement organizations, and supporters say it will encourage more police departments to have their officers wear body cameras. It is not supported by the American Civil Liberties Union because they say it will make it impossible to obtain the videos.
