Music News - Kanye West Philly Show Cancelled; Philly Orch Free Shows Today; Ramones Get Queens St.

Kanye West's scheduled concert at the Wells Fargo Center tonight Tuesday, October 4th has been postponed 'due to family concerns.' The event has been rescheduled to December 13th. All tickets will be honored at the new date. On Sunday night, West left the stage at the Meadows Festival in New York City in the middle of his set after learning that his wife, Kim Kardashian West, had been held up and robbed. Kardashian was staying in a private apartment in Paris for Fashion Week. Armed men made off with millions in jewelry. West also canceled a tour date in Detroit on Thursday. That has been rescheduled to December 22nd. The Saint Pablo tour will resume in Chicago on Friday.

The Philadelphia Orchestra Musicians are celebrating today with the 2nd Annual Audience Concerts. It is a day of free performances by orchestra members throughout the community. They started this morning and end this evening at locations around the city. Ensembles, trios, quartets, etc. are doing pop-up concerts in places like Reading Terminal Market, City Hall, St. John's Hospice, Elkins Central Train Station, and more. It has been announced that a street in Queens, NY will be named in honor of iconic punk rock group The Ramones. This past summer, New York City Council member Karen Koslowitz proposed that the street in front of Forest Hills High School be renamed Ramones Way. All four original members, Johnny, Joey, Dee Dee, and Tommy Ramone attended Forest Hills. It will be officially unveiled on October 23rd at 11 a.m. Maybe they should rename the whole place Rock 'n' Roll High School.
