Philadelphia Police Sgt. Sylvia Young was released from the hospital today. Young was shot six times on Saturday night during a shooting rampage in West Philadelphia. 46-year-old Young was greated by dozens of uniformed officers as she left Penn Presbyterian Hospital Tuesday afternoon. She will be recovering at home. The 19-year veteran was inside her patrol car at 52nd and Sansom street when 25-year-old Nicholas Glenn fired 18 times into her window and fled. She was wearing a protective vest. Glenn was eventually shot and killed by other officers. 56-year-old University of Pennsylvania police officer Ed Miller was also wounded and was released from the hospital on Sunday.

Two Philadelphia police officers have a filed civil lawsuit against former Philadelphia Eagles' running back LeSean McCoy in a nightclub brawl that left the two cops injured. The fight happened back on February 7th just before 3 a.m. in the VIP secion of Recess Lounge in Old City. It started as a disagreement of who paid for a $350 bottle of champaigne. Officers Roland Butler and Darnell Jessie, who were off-duty at the time, filed suit in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas and seek monetary damages from LeSean McCoy, and his friends Tamarcus Porter and Christopher Henderson and the nightclub itself. One officer suffered facial fractures and a concussion and the other had a broken nose, ribs and thumb. Philadelphia District Attorney Seth Williams announced in April that no charges would be brought saying no instigator could be determined. McCoy now plays for the Buffalo Bills.

Macy's announced that it will hire 83,000 workers for the busy holiday season. That is about the same number of people that it hired last year. Those hired will work at Macy's or Bloomingdale's department stores, call centers or at the company's facilities that ship products to stores and to online shoppers. Other retailers have already announced their hiring plans. Kohl's Corp. plans to hire more than 69,000 additional workers for the holidays. Target Corp. says it will hire more than 70,000.

Tonight,
Mostly Cloudy, temperatures in the low 80s/upper 70s this evening in Center City
