Cop Shot 7 Times Returns; Trump at the Union League; Wife of Herr Foods Founder Dies

A Delaware County Police Officer who was shot 7 times while on duty in June will return to work this week. Christopher Dorman has been cleared to return to full police duty, Folcroft Borough police said via Twitter. His first shift will be Friday night. Dorman, 25, was ambushed while responding to a drug-related call in late June. He was shot seven times but has since made a full recovery.

Republican Presidential hopeful, Donald Trump is in Philadelphia for the second time since Friday. This visit was to unveil a plan for a major increase in defense spending as he works to convince skeptics in both parties he's ready to lead the world's most powerful military. The speech at 11am at the Union League, at Broad and Samson streets is not be open to the public, and protesters are expected outside.

The wife of the late Herr Foods founder and board member of Herr Foods has passed away. According to the company, Miriam H. Herr, board member of Herr Foods Inc., and wife of the late James S. Herr, founder of the Nottingham, Pennsylvania-based company and maker of Herr’s® snack foods, died of heart and respiratory failure on September 4. Miriam Herr was 89.
