Free GunLocks in North Philly; Local Athletes Compete in Rio; Clinton's 4-Point Convention Boost

Yesterday in North Philadelphia, gunlocks were given out to encourage the city's new gun law that forces gun owners to lock up their guns when they are not being used. No IDs were asked for and the sheriffs did not question the owners concerning whether or not the guns were registered. The new motto is, "Got a gun, get a lock." Just using a simple gunlock can save a life.

In just four days, the opening ceremonies for the 2016 Olympics will began. Attention is on local athletes headed to Rio, one of them being the crowd's favorite, English Gardner of Voorhees, NJ. Not only is Gardner qualified for the 2016 Olympics, but she is known as seventh fastest competitor in the history of the 100m dash. She thanks her family who has sacrificed much to get her to where she is today.

There is not doubt that the DNC Convention helped bring a more positive view of Hilary Clinton to the public's eye. According to a new poll, 46% of voters nationwide say theyâ€™ll vote for Clinton in November, while only 39% say theyâ€™ll vote for Donald Trump. The Democrats indeed may have had a more successful convention in terms of the type of message they aimed to promote by attacking Trump and bringing ongoing attention to Hilary Clintonâ€™s message of â€œStronger Together.â€
