Septa Bus Stalled in Flash Flood; Michelle Obama Excites DNC Crowd; Violent Crime On the Rise

Yesterday, Septa passengers were rescued after heavy rain caused the bus to stall in floodwaters in Lehigh and Delaware Valleys. The SEPTA bus and several cars got stalled in the flash flood located beneath the overpass at Station and RailRoad Avenues. Passengers were rescued by fire and police. Thankfully, there were no injuries reported.

Last night Michelle Obama’s speech electrified the DNC crowd and television viewers. She urged citizens to vote for Hilary Clinton, the only one person who she believes is truly qualified to be President of the United States. Obama discussed raising her children in a White House that was built by slaves. She urged listeners to never "let anyone tell you that this country isn't great," an attack on Trump’s campaign slogan, “Make America Great Again.” This right now, she exclaimed, “is the greatest country on earth."

Violent crime is on the rise in major cities across the US in comparison to the number of other crimes such as rapes, robberies, shootings, etc. Monday, the Major Cities Chiefs Association released the violent crime survey which shows 307 more homicides in 2016 so far in comparison to last year. Major cities in the US have experienced over 1,000 more robberies, about 2,000 more assaults, and more than 600 non-fatal shootings.
