The official announcement was to come at 11 a.m. Friday in New York City, but has been postponed indefinitely after the attack in Nice, France. Pence is described as a staunch social conservative. He served six terms in the House of Representatives before becoming Governor. Pence has to decide by tomorrow whether to run for reelection in Indiana. New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich were both reportedly on the short list for vice presidential candidates.
