PA County Health Rankings, Man Charged for Triple Murder, Obama Set To Visit Cuba

Counties in Pennsylvania were ranked yesterday according to health standards. The rankings are part of a County Health Rankings & Roadmaps Program. Number 1 on the list was Chester County, others on the top of the list included Montgomery County at Number 3, Bucks at sixth, and Lancaster County was rated ninth. Philadelphia was ranked in last place at 67th. The rankings were based on many factors including, quality of life, and social, and economic factors.

District Attourney Seth Williams announced yesterday that they have charge a man with a triple murder that happened in February 2014. 24-year-old Quadir Jeffries shot and killed the three men in one of the victims homes on the 6300 block of Martin Mills Road, in Lawncrest. Jefferies is currently in jail for a previous home invasion, but now he is being charged with three counts of robbery, one count of burglary, and many other related charges. Jeffries will have his Preliminary hearing soon.

Before going on his historic trip to Cuba this weekend, President Obama sent one of The first letters to Cuba through the mail in over 50 years. Direct mail service between the US and Cuba started again this Wednesday when a plane left the US for Cuba with a batch of letters. President Obama will leave for Cuba on Sunday and visit there for two days.

Villanova plays UNC Ashville today, Temple plays Iowa, and Saint Joe's plays Cincinnati in the first round of March Madness today.
