A woman who was attacked and seemingly abducted from a SEPTA bus in the early morning hours on Friday tells police that she is fine and that nothing happened. The incident happened around 2 a.m. along Roosevelt Boulevard in the city's Crescentville neighborhood. A man in an early '00s silver Pontiac with Delaware temporary tags XC975492 was following the bus. When the bus stopped to pick up passengers, the man got out and began yelling and punching the window where the 22-year-old woman was sitting. He hit it so hard the window smashed. The bus pulled away as he tried to get on. At the next stop the woman got off and the man grabbed her, beat her, and put her in the back of the car. This morning the woman came to Northeast Detective Division and told officers that she is ok and doesn't want to cooperate any further. However, even if it was just a domestic incident, police still are looking for the man for smashing the bus window and for more serious charges, including assault. They are examining SEPTA surveillance video from the bus.

Philadelphia Police have arrested a suspect in connection to a double murder in West Kensington in January. 19-year-old Ativa Jackson of West Wishart Street was taken into custody just before 1 pm this afternoon. Police responded to a call on January 3rd just before 6 pm. 47-year-old Richard DaVilla and 21-year-old Raul Rodriguez were taken to Temple University hospital where they were pronounced dead from gunshot wounds. A 17-year-old boy was also taken to the hospital suffering from a gunshot wound to the face, he survived.
