Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf signed an executive order today that raises the minimum wage for some state workers to $10.15, up from $7.25 an hour. The pay raise will effect around 450 state government employees and state contracted workers. The Democrat used his executive power to bypass the GOP-controlled Legislature. Raising the wage above the federal minimum for all workers in Pennsylvania will require legislation and cooperation between the Governor and the Legislature.

A former Malvern Prep swim coach and college counselor has pled guilty to pursing an improper relationship with a student at the high school. 41-year-old Emily Feeney of Wayne was charged with Corruption of Minors and Indecent Assault. She was sentenced to 5 years probation and will have to register as a sex offender for 15 years. Feeney sent the 16-year-old boy hundreds of texts and e-mails including suggestive/topless photos. She told him that she could get him into Harvard. He told her, "I'm not interested in you, end of story. I'm 16. I'm not into you." Feeney will also have to pay for his counseling costs.

A Chester County man suspected of child sex abuse is in custody after he allegedly fired shots into the home where his victim was staying with her father. 63-year-old Douglas Kohen of Downingtown has been charged with attempted murder and witness intimidation. He was arrested in January on charges of corruption of minors, indecent assault, and related offenses and was set to appear on March 9th. Kohen was out on bail. On Sunday just after 3 a.m., he fired 6 shots through the window of the room where his 10-year-old victim and another child were sleeping. He then fled in his car. He was caught a short time later after his car crashed. No one was hurt in the house. Kohen is now being held on $1 million cash bail.

Tonight,
Clear Skies, mid/low 50's this evening in Center City.
