Philadelphia Police are looking for the driver of a vehicle that crashed during a drag racing incident last summer, killing three passengers and injuring another. It happened the night of July 29th on Sandmeyer Lane in the Bustleton section of Northeast Philadelphia. 20-year-old Ryan Farrell of the 10000 block of Northeast Avenue was racing 20-year-old Christopher Bloomfield when he lost control of his car and hit a tree, splitting the car in two. 17-year-olds Yvette Gonzalez and Sabrina Rhoades were ejected and 20-year-old Felipe Hernandez was trapped inside. All three died. Another 17-year-old suffered critical injuries. The other driver, Bloomfield, was arrested over the weekend at his home on the 800 block of Knorr Street. He is charged with Homicide by Vehicle, Aggravated Assault While Driving under the Influence, Homicide by Vehicle and related offenses. Bail has been set at $2 million. Police are still looking for Farrell. He is facing charges including Accident Involving Death, Homicide by Vehicle, Aggravated Assault by Vehicle and Involuntary Manslaughter. Anyone with information should contact the Philadelphia Police Accident Investigation Division at 215-685-3180.

UPDATE: 20-year old Ryan Farrell, from the 10000 block of Northeast Avenue, surrendered to police Tuesday afternoon.

Philadelphia 76ers rookie center Jahlil Okafor, for all his accomplishments on the court, has not had the best time adjusting to the real world as a teenager/young man. Especially this past fall when he was caught on camera in multiple skirmishes outside of night clubs. In addition, back in October, Okafor was caught speeding over the Ben Franklin Bridge in his Mercedes-Maybach driving 108 mph from New Jersey into Philadelphia. Last week, he pled guilty to operating in an unsafe manner and paid a fine of $439. TMZ obtained dash cam video of the chase by Delaware River Port Authority PD. The posted speed limit on the bridge is 45 mph. Watch video of the incident below:

Police have issued an arrest warrant for a Philadelphia woman who was caught shoplifting in Center City earlier this month only to escape from security and leave her daughter behind. It happened just after 6 p.m. on Thursday, February 11th at the Macy's in Center City. 27-year-old Mahogany Ashly Terry of Strawberry Mansion (see picture below) was apprehended by store security while attempting to steal $1,400 worth of merchandise. She was handcuffed and detained by Macy's Loss Prevention along with her 4-year-old daughter who was with her at the store. Terry managed to slip the cuffs and get away, leaving her daughter behind. Police and Department of Human Services were called. The child was reunited with family members. If you have any information about the whereabouts of Mahogany Ashly Terry call police at 215-686-3093 or call 911.
