Villanova freshman Jalen Brunson was booed lustily last night by 10,000 fans who packed the Liacouras Center in North Philly for the Nova - Temple game. Temple fans feel betrayed because Brunson chose Villanova after his dad had played for the Owls in the 90's. Brunson responded by scoring a career high 25 points in Villanova's 83-67 win.

Lawyers for Kathryn Knott are asking a judge to reconsider her sentence. Knott was sentenced to five to ten months in jail, and two years of probation for her involvement in a 2014 attack on a gay couple. Knott was part of a larger group that used gay slurs while they assaulted the couple. Knott's lawyers are calling her imposed sentence excessive, and said it was the "result of public opinion". Two other men received probation after pleading guilty last year.

The Montgomery County man busted for trafficking heroin last month was transporting the drugs inside a working car battery. Yesterday, D.A. Kevin Steele revealed that David Pacheco made frequent trips to Georgia to swap batteries for one manufactured in Mexico, specially fitted with an extra compartment to hide the heroin. Pacheco would then return to his Norristown towing business, police said, and transfer the battery - still functioning - to another car before delivering it to large-scale heroin suppliers in New York.
