Snow overnight caused traffic problems and some delayed school openings across the region. Suburbs west of the city got a coating on some roads. East of the city and down to the shore things were more slippery as 2 to 4 inches piled up from the quick hitting overnight storm. It's done pretty much everywhere by noon and the air will be dry through the weekend.

The Philadelphia Eagles met with a group of city health officials yesterday after complaints about smokers freely lighting up in "No Smoking" areas at Lincoln Financial Field. According to FOX 29, the TV station blew the whistle after a vendor complained to them about second hand smoke. The Eagles are now waiting for recommendations from the health department and say that the safety of their fans is of utmost importance.

A Main Line lawyer has filed a lawsuit against Lower Merion School District. He claims that one of the region's wealthiest and most highly regarded school district misled the public about its finances and should remit its $55 million surplus to taxpayers. The class-action suit, filed Monday by Arthur Wolk, a lawyer who lives in Gladwyne, seeks a long list of remedies, including a five-year moratorium on tax increases. It says that the district has misappropriated funds and that its large surplus was "ill-begotten. That's all money that never should have been collected," Wolk said in an interview.
