Caitlyn Jenner will be on campus at the University of Pennsylvania later this month for a conversation with author and Penn alumnus Buzz Bissinger. Bissinger wrote the Vanity Fair cover story about Jenner's transition. There will be 60 minutes of discussion followed by audience Q&A. The Evening with Caitlyn Jenner is set for Wednesday, Feb. 17, at 8 p.m. Tickets cost $5 for Penn students, and $30 for the general public. General public tickets are available online. Last week, Jenner settled a lawsuit in connection with a February 2015 car crash that resulted in the death of a 70-year-old woman. She announced her transition in April following that incident following months of speculation about the topic.

Pope Francis' Philly FIAT was auctioned to highest bidder at the Philadelphia Auto Show Black Tie Tailgate Friday. Provided by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and the World Meeting of Families, the FIAT 500L which was used by Pope Francis during his historic visit to Philadelphia last September went to Michael Chapman of Chapman Ford with a winning bid of $82,000. The auction featured more than 19 bidders from across the United States and lasted just 11 minutes. The Black Tie Tailgate supports The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). The proceeds from the auction of “Pope Francis’ Philly FIAT” will benefit four missions of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, including 50 percent of the proceeds benefitting Catholic Charities Appeal, and the remaining 50 percent will be broken evenly amongst Mercy Hospice, Casa Del Carmen, and Schools of Special Education. The Philadelphia Auto Show runs January 30th-February 7th.

Are we at risk for the Zika virus in the Philadelphia area? According to Herbert Cushing, chief medical officer at Temple University Hospital and an infectious disease expert, the answer is “NO.” The mosquito that spreads the virus is in some areas along the Gulf Coast but no further north. The Zika virus cases currently in the United States are the result of infected victims who brought the virus back home from outside the US. There is no vaccine for Zika and the World Health Organization says Zika could infect up to 4 million people in the next year.
