A gunshot rang out during a fight at a Philadelphia high school Friday afternoon. It happened just before noon at Benjamin Franklin High School on North Broad Street in the Spring Garden section. A group of students were fighting in a stairwell when the shot was fired. Officials found a spent shell casing but no gun. The school was put on lockdown as they searched the rest of the school. No one was injured. Police did take three individuals into custody, no word on if they are suspects or persons of interest. Philadelphia Police Commissioner Richard Ross said that they are looking at the school's surveillance video.

Police are investigating after a man was stabbed while riding a SEPTA bus in Frankford this afternoon. It happened just before 2:30 pm on the Route 56 while the bus was stopped at the intersection of Torresdale Avenue and Paul Street. Two men got into an argument and one pulled a knife and stabbed the other. The suspect got off the bus and fled the scene. The victim was taken to Temple University Hospital. His wounds do not appear to be life threatening. SEPTA and city police are investigating.
