Delaware State Police arrested a man for the fatal stabbing a woman and her elderly mother in Smyrna on Sunday morning. 66-year-old Gilbert E. Rochester of Clayton is charged with two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony. It happened around 7:30 a.m. on the 300 block of Hawkey Branch Road. Rochester parked his car about a mile away and waited outside the home. He stabbed 80-year-old Louise Cavuto Carrow after she exited the home and walking towards the garage. Rochester then attacked her daughter and his estranged wife, 56-year-old Mary C.
