Federal officials seize nearly 20 pounds of cocaine, hidden inside the cargo hold of a plane that landed in Philadelphia. Customs and border protection officers found the drugs behind an access panel, in a plane that arrived from Jamaica on Saturday. The street value of the cocaine was estimated to be about $600,000 dollars. So far, no arrests have been made.

Authorities in Florida have arrested a fugitive wanted for a murder that took place in Philadelphia back in November. Kayree Reid, 28, was arrested in Clay County, Florida Tuesday following a car chase and crash. Reid was wanted in connection with a homicide back on November 10th, that took place inside a crowded convenience store in Philadelphia's Mantua neighborhood. Police say Reid, entered the store and began shooting at a man inside, striking and killing the victim. U.S. Marshalls say they had been tracking Reid, and attempted to apprehend him during a traffic stop in Florida on Tuesday. Instead, the driver of the SUV Reid was a passenger in, took off as officers attempted to make a stop. A chase ensued, before the vehicle crashed into two law enforcement vehicles. A baby was also in the suspects' vehicle. Reid and the driver were both taken into custody, and the driver was also charged with endangering a child.

The University of Pennsylvania is participating in a study that could lead to the prevention of Alzheimer’s disease. And they are looking for volunteers to participate. GeneMatch an ambitious, national effort to recruit people at high genetic risk for the disease, was launched Tuesday by the Banner Alzheimer's Institute in Phoenix. Penn’s role will include informing those whose test results indicate they are high risk to get the dreaded dementia. People interested in participating in GeneMatch can get more information at EndALZnow.org/GeneMatch
