President Obama made a rare live Oval Office address Sunday to speak to new threats of terrorism and reassure Americans in the wake of the attacks in Paris and San Bernardino. The president acknowledged that the couple in California "had gone down the dark path of radicalization" even if there is no evidence they were directed from abroad. He called for a review of the fiance visa waiver program that the female shooter used to enter the U.S. Obama also called for gun control laws that would prevent those on "no-fly" lists from purchasing gun. When it came to fighting ISIS, the president promised to destroy the enemy, but did not offer any more plans to accomplish that. He spoke of continuing airstrikes, building a coalition, and training native ground troops. That plan was widely criticized by Republicans who want tougher action. Obama also tasked Muslims worldwide to take up the fight against extremist ideologies in their communities and tasked Americans to accept Muslims in the U.S. as they are everyday citizens.

Police in Lower Gwynedd Township are looking for a man who robbed a Wawa on Sunday morning. The man entered the store on the 700 block of N. Bethlehem Pike shortly before 8 a.m. He walked around the store for two minutes before he approached the cashier. He gave the cashier a note demanding all the money and indicated he had a gun. The cashier saw something black inside his jacket she believed was a handgun. The cashier emptied the register and the suspect left with an undisclosed amount of money. He is described as thin to medium build, late 20's, 5' 11" - 6', with scruffy facial hair. He had light blues jeans, white sneakers, and dark-hooded sweatshirt. (See picture below) He may have been driving a silver SUV. Anyone who can identify the suspect is urged to call the Lower Gwynedd Police Department at (215) 646- 5300.

Philadelphia Police are investigating after a decomposing body was found near Bartram's Garden in Southwest Philadelphia. Witnesses were walking in the woods of Bartram's Garden at 5400 Bartram Drive and found the body about 45 feet from the banks of the Schuylkill River. The victim is described as a black female with no obvious signs of trauma. She did not have a shirt but was wearing blue pants and "hospital socks." An autopsy will help determine cause of death.
