The NFL is set to announce Coldplay as the headliner for the Super Bowl 50 Halftime Show. The official announcement will come during tonight's Thursday Night Football matchup between the Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers. The English rockers are no stranger to stadiums and will take the stage February 7th, 2016 at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, CA (home of the 49ers). Don't expect this to be the end of the big SB50 entertainment announcements, considering Coldplay's big collaboration with Beyonce released this past week. Coldplay's new album A Head Full of Dreams comes out tomorrow and reportedly won't immediately be available on Spotify.

The all clear has been given after separate bomb threats led to the evacuations of buildings at both Montgomery County and Bucks County Community Colleges Thursday. Around 7:00 a.m., the Library and Gateway Center at Bucks County's Newtown Campus were evacuated due to a threat. Police and K-9 units searched the area and did not find anything. The buildings were reopened at 1 p.m. Another bomb threat forced the evacuated of the West Campus of MCCC in Pottstown. That threat was for South Hall. The campus was cleared at 3 p.m. and classes resumed at 4 p.m.

Prosecutors described in court today how a South Jersey man strangled his ex-girlfriend and crushed and smothered her infant daughter to death. 34-year-old Ricardo Santiago of Millville is charged with killing Neidy Ramirez and her 3-month-old daughter and then using her SUV to dump the bodies. Santiago turned himself into police on Tuesday and led them to the area of the Cohansey River Watershed Boat Ramp in Cumberland County where the bodies were discovered. Ramirez had a cord around her neck and the baby's chest was crushed. Santiago pled not guilty in court today. His bail was raised to $2 million.

Tonight,
Clear, temperatures in the mid 40s this evening in Center City
