You don't have to wait for Throwback Thursday. The sound of "Hello there, Harvey here!" oozing from your speakers or headphones will deliver a smile and fond memories right now. For Philadelphia baby boomers who spent their formative years in the 70's, 80's and 90's tuning into WIOQ and WMGK, their days started with a one-named morning dj, "Harvey."

Harvey became legendary in Philadelphia morning radio spinning rock albums and spinning the events of the world through his unique prism. Harvey's voice can now be heard again on Philadelphia streaming radio station, Libra on iRadioPhilly.com. According to Harvey, "it was a fun session to do and it felt oddly familiar... especially considering that somehow 20 years had gone by since I was last on the radio. I love what I'm doing now with my own business, but talking into a mic sure is a lot easier on an old body!"

John Harvey enjoyed a couple of decades on Philadelphia radio at WIOQ and WMGK before taking his smooth voice and delivery to television where he became Harvey the Announcer on Nickelodeon's Double Dare, Finders Keepers and History IQ and off camera produced for TLC's mega-hit Trading Spaces.. Harvey happily left broadcasting behind after nearly 35 years to become Harvey the Handyman doing home restoration work. Harvey is also the producer and musician in the studio behind Philadelphia musician, John Flynn whose new CD is due in early 2016.

Harvey's voice appears on iRadioPhilly's "Libra" in short quips between progressive rock songs - some new, some old. The Libra station can be heard on the iRadioPhilly.com website, on the iRadioPhilly App for iPhone and Android, TuneIn and any Internet Radio device. Harvey joins other familiar Philly radio air personalities including Michael Tearson and Mike Bowe in extending their legacy beyond the FM airwaves on iRadioPhilly. Harvey looked at the package iRadioPhilly sent him and decided it was a good fit for him - and it was time to be heard from again.
