The Cherry Hill Mall has some parents venting on social media about their Santa Claus display (pictured). The colorful, elaborate North Pole village requires visitors to pay $35 to $50 to sit on Santa's lap. Kids can't even get a peek at the jolly old elf through a window. $35 gets a photo with Santa. For $50 you get video. The mall's management, Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust, says it is unique - one of only 12 Adventure to Santa attractions in the country.

U.S. Rep. Chaka Fattah announced last night that he has hired veteran political operative and former city managing director Joe Certaine to run his re-election campaign.
Fattah likes Certaine's knowledge of every neighborhood and every leader in his district. Fattah is facing federal corruption charges but was easily elected to an 11th term last November. Fattah’s campaign finances are running low and four competing candidates have already emerged: state Reps. Dwight Evans and Brian Sims, 9th Democratic Ward leader Dan Muroff and Lower Merion Township Commissioner Brian Gordon.

On Saturday night, hundreds of people gathered in LOVE Park for a solemn vigil in support of Paris, and in honor of those who died in the attacks Friday night. The Love Park crowd joined to sing "La Marseillaise," France's national anthem. A blue, white, and red French flag fluttered beneath the LOVE sculpture. Candles flickered below the flag, arranged in a circle of peace with an outline of the Eiffel Tower at the center.
