A two-alarm fire broke out at Lulu Country Club in Glenside, Montgomery County Sunday morning. Fire crews were called around 6:30 a.m. to the 1600 block of Limekiln Pike near Jenkintown Road. A second alarm was quickly called. Over 100 firefighters from 8 companies were on the scene fighting the fire. Fort Washington Fire Chief Eric Clauson said, "It's an old building with a heavy timber roof and the large open floor plan helps contribute to the fire spread." The original building was built in 1912. Authorities believe the fire began in the basement. The Fire Marshall is conducting an investigation to determine the cause.

A 66-year-old man is in critical condition after being hit by a car while crossing the Roosevelt Boulevard on Sunday afternoon. It happened at 2:15 pm on the 400 block of E. Roosevelt Boulevard. The man ran across the street and was struck by a vehicle traveling southbound. He suffered severe injuries to his head and legs and was taken to Einstein Medical Center for treatment. He remains ins extremely critical condition. The driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene and no charges have been filed.

A SEPTA bus was evacuated Sunday afternoon after a 4-foot Boa constrictor got loose on board. It happened around 3 pm on the Route 52 bus at 52nd Street and Westminster Ave. A passenger got on the bus with the snake around his neck underneath a jacket. It somehow got away and forced the bus to pull over and the passengers to evacuate. The snake was found curled up underneath a seat. The rest of the riders reboarded the bus and it continued on its route. No charges were filed. The incident remains under investigation.
