UFC Champ Rousey to Marine Corps Ball?; Commissioner Ramsey Retiring; Boy Shot Had Toy BB Gun

Ultimate Fight Club Champion Ronda Rousey (pictured) is scheduled for a date to the Marine Corps Ball with South Jersey Marine, Jarrod Haschet. But will she show up? Haschet posted a video inviting Rousey and to his surprise, she accepted. However on Monday, fellow UFC fighter Travis Browne announced he was dating Rousey. Haschet hopes Rousey will keep the date, but he isn’t ready to step into the ring with her new boyfriend. Travis Browne is a 6' 7" 254 pound professional fighter.

Philadelphia Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey announced his plan to retire at the end of the year during a news conference Wednesday morning at City Hall. Mayor Nutter accompanied Ramsey at the podium for the announcement where Ramsey thanked the Mayor for bringing him to Philly. Ramsey, now 65 years old has been in law enforcement for 47 years serving in Chicago and Washington DC. Ramsey’s retirement date in January 7th..

The 14 year old Philadelphia boy shot and killed this week at 10th and Thompson in North Philly, was apparently carrying a plastic bb gun at the time he was shot in the head. Witnesses say they saw the black toy gun as police were loading the victim into the ambulance. Police rushed the boy to Hahnemann University Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 5 pm yesterday.
