Federal authorities in Philadelphia announced that over 360 lbs of cocaine were discovered last week in a shipment of pumpkins and squash from Costa Rica. The street value of the drugs is around $6 million. Thin packages containing the powder were laminated inside the boxes of fruit. U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers confiscated it all. It arrived aboard the M/V Santa Maria and was headed to a distributor in the Bronx. No arrests have been made, but the investigation is ongoing. Customs says this is the 8th largest seizure of cocaine at the Port of Philadelphia.

The United States Secret Service says that chairs will be allowed in the secured zones on the Ben Franklin Parkway this weekend for the events during the Papal Visit. However, they have some suggestions to make it easier for you to be screened in with a chair:

-The smaller or more compact the chair, the easier and quicker it is to verify that it is safe.
-Individuals may not arrive at security checkpoints with numerous or cumbersome chairs because screening these items will unreasonably slow the screening process for everyone else.
-Chairs that are composed of metal poles with large diameters, and poles with openings in which items could be secreted, may require excessive time to verify that they are safe.
-If we cannot verify the safety of a chair in a reasonable amount of time, it will not be permitted through the screening process.
-Additionally, chairs determined to be a "potential safety hazard" also will not be permitted (including but not limited to chairs that could, in the view of the security officer, be disassembled or broken into pieces and used to create a weapon or projectile).

Also, strollers will be allowed through the magnetometers and onto the Parkway (this is the World Meeting of Families) but if you have an option for a smaller coach, it is recommended you use that. Finally, children under 2 do not require a ticket if parents are holding passes to any of the ticketed areas.

iRadioPhilly will carry LIVE BROADCASTS from the World Meeting of Families Events, Festival and the Papal Visit.  For more information, go to Papal Visit Broadcast

The body of a man found in a South Jersey waterway on Tuesday has been identified. 31-year-old Marcus Fennell of Bridgeton was discovered by fishermen in the Newton Creek near White Horse Pike in Oaklyn. The Camden County prosecutor's office said that an autopsy today revealed he died from drowning and that there were no signs of anything suspicious. Toxicology reports are pending. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Michelle Chambers of the prosecutor’s office at 856-580-6070 or Detective Jayne Jones of the Oaklyn police at 856-854-0049.
